We celebrate all those who came before us—those who marched, organized, spoke out, and sacrificed so future generations could live more openly and authentically.
Because of their courage, many of us don’t have to spend our entire lives in the closet. We don’t have to rely on hidden spaces just to find community. We can build families, create lives we love, and exist more openly than many who came before us ever had the chance to.
Pride is a celebration, but it’s also a reminder that the freedoms many of us enjoy today were hard-won by people who believed we deserved to be seen, heard, and loved exactly as we are.
